Mike Ross, PGA AA Professional

Mike was born in Torquay, England, and first started playing golf at 8 years old. After reaching a handicap of +1 he turned professional at the tender age of 18. During his 4 year long British PGA training, Mike learnt his trade as a club professional.

As a player he has played at the highest level, winning 20 professional tournaments and has played in one Open Championship, before concentrating on coaching. He has accumulated a wealth of experience, working as a a Head Professional in the UK, The Netherlands and Portugal. He is delighted to be located full time in the Algarve with it's fantastic golf courses and idyllic weather.

With 30 years experience as a PGA professional, Mike has given thousands of lessons, coaching players of all ages and levels. He does not a specific method, but likes to concentrate on the individuals body style, physical abilities and goals, fitting the swing to the body, and not the body to the swing. Everything is explained in simple terms, and during your time in the Algarve, you will develop the skills to improve your game and have more fun on the course. Lessons will be given in English or Dutch.
